Day 3: KEMER - PAMUKKALE
The trip through the beautiful Taurus Mountains to the world famous “cotton palace,” Pamukkale. Behind this name hides a geological phenomenon, whose white, fluffy appearance reminds one of cotton, from which comes the name Pamukkale, which directly translated means “cotton fortress.” Warm water cascades from one pool to the next and has through thousands of years created a unique limestone formation, which in l988 was found worthy of being placed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. We also visit the ruins of Hierapolis, which lies above the limestone terraces. At the hot spring spa you have a chance to take a relaxing swim in the warm water. Overnight with breakfast in the Denizli area (1 night)

Day 4: PAMUKKALE - TAVAS - ANTALYA
Today we turn towards Tavas, where we visit a typical carpet village at around 1,200 m. elevation. You walk around and see various looms and color containers where the work is being done in the ancient Turkish rug handcraft tradition. You see how wool and silk are spun, dyed and woven and how Turkish rugs are made. You will be fascinated by the finished rugs’ amazing design and color combinations, together with a glimpse of country life. Afterwards the trip continues further along the Turkish Riviera. Overnight with breakfast in the surroundings of Antalya (1 night)

Day 5: ANTALYA & PERGE
Antalya sightseeing, Perge ruins as well as trip to Belek/Side.
After breakfast, we go to the well-preserved ruins of the city of Perge (“But they went on from Perge . . .” Acts l3:l3-14, Acts l4:25). John Mark left Paul and Barnabas in Perge. The ancient city of Perge is significant both in relation to the Bible story and as an archeological discovery. The Hellenistic gate through which Paul walked, the agora, the Roman bath, the colonnade with the open canal system, is among the high points of the trip. The next point on the program is sightseeing in the province’s capital, Antalya, the “Pearl of the Mediterranean” and the biggest city on the Turkish Riviera. Here awaits a lively harbour city with a lot of atmosphere. Before the tour ends, you will get an opportunity to shop in a jewelry and leather store with competent assistance (toll and tax-free). Overnight with breakfast in the area of Belek/Side (3 nights)
